A Study on the Relation Between Stroke Type of Swimmers and Flexibility

Abstract
In this study, we study the relation between stroke type of swimmers and flexibility by part¢¥s of a body, and then we obtain the followings.
1. Constitution
For the age of swimmers, males are 1.4 years older than females and- accordingly, their exercise history is 1.4 years older. Examining the characters of constituting by stroke types, in case of male swimmers, the height of free-style swimmers is tallest and that of butterfly-stroke swimmers is shortest, while the ratio of weight by height, is shown to be highest for butterfly stroke swimmers are tallest and the ratio of weight by height is shown to no highest for breast-stroke swimmers.
2. flexibility by parts of a body
Flexibility by parts of a body is correspondent with the character by each stroke type, and therefore, the flexibility of very parts is proved to be important element for stroke type.
l T.F which shows the flexibility of waist was recorded the, highest score for butterfly-stroker swimmers both male and female, and the lowest score for back-strokers.
This is a result which shows that the flexibility of waist is important element for butterflystrokers.
2 Similarly, for the T.E flexibility, of males and. females butterfly-strokers¢¥ average score is shown to be high,, and that of free-style strokers is shown to be lowest, which is the result from the vary stroke types.
In case of females, the average difference of T.E flexibility seemed invalid statistically according to the result of single variable amount¢¥¢¥ analysis. That is, average differences by each stroke type result from the individual characters of swimmers.
3 For V.S.F flexibility, butterfly-strokers have the best flixibility in case of vales backstrokers of females have the best flexibility. Males¢¥ V.S.F average result from the ,characters of stroke-types, but that of females result from the differences in group.
4 D.F flexibility the highest average was scored for the breast-strokers showed the most poor flexibility. And their average difference resulted from the character stroke type, thus for breaststrokers, the flexibility of ankles is proved to be a important -factor.
5 Male and female back-strokers have the best ARF flexibility. Their average differences are proved to be valid statistically bb the result of ANOVA analysis, therefore A.P.F element seems important for back-stroke.
